I spent years grabbing my coffee & breakfast sandwich on the way to work, and eating what I thought was a "sensible" lunch and dinner...but my body thought otherwise.  I was always tired, suffered from debilitating headaches and felt just plain uncomfortable in my own skin.  My breakthrough came through a change in my diet - I began to eliminate my trigger foods and BAM!  I was on my own personal road to recovery, a renewed life and a different kind of vibrance!

The liver is responsible for filtering and neutralizing harmful substances in your body. It has 500 metabolic jobs, which it cannot perform optimally when overburdened with toxins. Chinese medicine also believes the liver to be responsible for the smooth flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body.  A toxic and overburdened liver leads to impaired release of bile from the gallbladder, which affects the breakdown of fats and overall digestion.  That's a brief explanation of why seasonal detoxes are so important.
